The City of Morton is proud to be a KMB/PAL affiliate and is dedicated
to keeping our city beautiful. Morton is one of 23 cities in Mississippi
who have completed the necessary requirements to become a certified
affiliate of KMB/PAL.

Where business prospers there is little or no litter. Where business
languishes trash blows in the streets and alleys. Which came first? Hard to
tell. But one leads to another.

What can you do? Pitch in!

The concerted effort to make the City of Morton more attractive and add to quality of life for its citizens has resulted in several awards in recognition of the vast improvements made in the City through their beautification efforts. The most recent award in May 2008 was the 2008 Circle of Excellence Gold Award through Keep Mississippi Beautiful. Other awards include the 2006 and 2007 statewide Keep America Beautiful Affiliate Circle of Excellence Gold Award, 2005 KAB Affiliate Circle Silver Award which was attributed to the massive cleanup effort after Hurricane Katrina, 2004 KAB Affiliate Circle of Excellence Award; and in 2003, Second Place Award in Local Government. In 2003, 2006, and 2007, the City received the President's Circle Excellence Award through Keep America Beautiful. In 2003, Morton Mayor Greg Butler was inducted into the Keep Mississippi Beautiful/People Against Litter Hall of Fame.
